The reduction in right-angle stacking aisle width enables better utilization of storage space in a warehouse. This allows increasing the number of racks which increases volume of storage.
20% Fatigue Level Reduction
The reduction in right-angle stacking aisle width largely reduce the steering-turn operations by the operator. Unnecessary operations are minimized which results in reduction of operator fatigue levels.

Reduction of power consumption
The new QuaPro-R is the first reach-type forklift model to use an IPM motor.
In addition, Sumitomo revised the AC motor for efficient load handling operations, reduced the vehicle weight, and optimized the layout of devices and controls.
This resulted in class-leading power consumption level (24% decrease vs. our previous models). Reductions in CO2 emissions (356 kg decrease/year), and prolonged operating hours (+approx. 2 h/day).
Low Cost of Ownership
IPM motor
Compact and highly efficient IPM motor, also used
on electric automobiles, is adopted for the travel motor. The motor has high dust-proof performance which eliminates grease shortage malfunctions and contributes to reduction in maintenance costs.
AC motor
An AC motor is adopted for load handling, its high efficiency contributes
to energy conservation. Parts which wear out such as brushes and contactors are unnecessary thereby reducing maintenance cost.

The QuaPro-R has various safety mechanisms and equipment to ensure the safety of operators during travel and load handling operations. In addition, to ensure safe operation in high, dark places, various options are available such as LED lights, carriage light, and a safety laser.
The slope speed limiter prevents unwanted acceleration on downslopes. The limiter maintains a constant speed when a downslope is detected.
